4/2008 to present: Enhancements Division Manager, Stiles Landscape, Fort Lauderdale, FL

Responsible for the management of all landscape installation crews, design work, customer service, budget management, crew and project scheduling, permitting, code compliance, and customer education.  Represent company at numerous public meetings, contribute to business development plan, and a member of various management teams.

4/2006 to 3/2008: City Landscaper, City of Deerfield Beach, FL

Responsible for all design work for streetscaping and landscapes, project bidding, Landscape Plan Review for all new projects and redevelopments to take place in the City, street tree program, departmental website, landscape code enforcement, community arboricultural and horticultural education, maintaining education programs for City crewmembers, grant applications and implementation, budget; work with grounds maintenance managers in supervision of 50 employees.

5/2004 to 3/2006: Urban Forestry Program Coordinator, City of Plantation, FL

Responsible for implementing the City’s long- range urban forestry plan, plant selection and grading, commercial inspections, created and maintained tree removal permit tracking database, public education, designing various educational programs and publications, training other City departments, various professional and proletarian groups, City tree inventory, school projects and programs, website design, grant application and administration, City Street Tree Planting Program, Memorial Tree Program, writing and publishing arboricultural and horticultural articles in numerous venues, created and directed tree advocacy group.

9/2003 to 3/2004: Micropropagation/ Tissue Culture Laboratory Technician.  Tropical Research and Education Center, University of Florida, Homestead, FL. Responsible for the laboratory procedures associated with various USDA and University of Florida research experiments.

12/2002 to 3/2003: Sales Associate, D’asign Source Outdoor Environments, Marathon, FL

Responsible for the sale and care of ornamental plants, cycads, rare palms.  Provided species information and design advice.
